Colorfeel

We came up with a way for people with sight loss to feel colour.

Challenge

The inability to see colour is a barrier to independence and self-expression for people with severe visual impairment.

Insight

You don't have to see colour to be able to enjoy it.

Solution

By introducing a system of tactile clothing labels we can give blind people the ability to feel the colour of their clothing. Both as a practical aid and as a way to use colour as self-expression.

The Colorfeel key will be sent out to all members of the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind).

It has been made as accessible as possible, including Moon symbols, contrasting colours and audio description that can be scanned with a QR scanner.
